Stop Dan Sanders Before Its Too Late!

Introduction

SOMEONE HELP! Dan Sanders is planning to cut down all the trees in our community to build a huge shopping mall! We need to help our animals friends and figure out a way to stop him before its too late! I am suggesting a protest!! I bet if we told them why trees are so important and useful they are, they might have a change of heart. First we must learn more about trees before we can fight for them!

Task

The task at hand is to save the rest of the trees before its too late!

In order to do this we will need:

- To learn the parts of a tree to get a better understanding of them

- To find out why trees are so important and useful

 -To create picket signs or flyers for the protest

                         

Process

Students will be in groups of four. There will be one team member completing task 1, one team member completing task 2, and two team members to complete task 3.

When you have finished that, begin your tasks for your group

TASK 3: Creating picket signs and fliers

We need posters, picket signs, and flyers! We need to make our public aware of what is going on and to tell Dan Sanders we are not scared of him. We need to make him know trees are a crucial part of our community. Make sure these signs are flashy, they are meant to be seen! Be sure to include three reason why we need trees in our enviroment.
