Introduction
The lesson will be introduced by placing word cards containing words associated with the lesson under students chairs. Students will be told to look under thier chairs to see what they find. Students who find a wordcard will read their word for the class to hear then paste the word on the whiteboard. Students will assess the words on the whiteboard and make an assuumption of what they think the lesson will be about. Teacher will take the different responses and reveal the topic of the lesson.
Task
Specific Objectives:
Students will be able to:
1. identify the three counties in Jamaica.
2. name the parishes in each county and the major rivers found in each parish.
3. use their tablets to locate a map of Jamaca showing the counties , parishes and the major rivers in each parish.
4. label a blank map of Jamaic showing: (a) the counties, (b) the parishes (c) the major rivers in each parish.
5. after viewing a power point presentation on rivers in Jamaica, write at least one paragraph explaining how rivers contribute to our daily lives.

1. Using their tablets students will locate a map of Jamaica showing the counties and parishes.
2. Engage in discussion with teacher on the information garnered and then copy such in their text.
3. Students will again use tablets to locate a physical features map of Jamaica to show the rivers in each parish.
4. Students will be chosen at random to observe the map and give the name of a river in s specific parish.
Evaluation
Activities:
1. Each student will be given a copy of a blank map . Students will use the information from the tablet to do the following:
(a) identify and label the counties.
(b) name the parishes.
(c) name the major rivers found in these parishes.
2. Students will use thier pencil crayons to highlight the counties and rivers.
3. Students will be given crossword puzzles with words associated with the lesson.
4. Write at least one paragrah explaining how rivers contribute to our daily lives.

Conclusion
Teacher will allow students to access the colornote app on their tablets and a make journal entry on what they have learnt from the lesson.

Credits
Students who complete the research questions will get the additional 30 marks.
