Introduction
Welcome to the VAST library of resources that is INFOhio! By completing these tasks, you will find a variety of uses for this great website.

Task
You will be exploring several different sections of the INFOhio website! I have chosen only a few of the resources that may be most helpful to you. There is a lot more for you to explore on your own time!
Following these links under 'Process' will just give you the tip of the iceberg that INFOhio has to offer!
Process
1. Check out the new homepage. Everything is still there, but it may be located in different places: http://www.infohio.org/
2. The Digital Video Collection is an incredible tool. It has almost 3000 videos and is accessed through the K-5 resource tab (or any resource tab.)You can browse or search the collection. It contains materials on virtually every subject and grade level, including 367 Bill Nye videos. Check it out here.
3. The K-5 collection is where your students will spend the majority of their time. There are a variety of resources and databanks that are available to them covering all different subject matter. Everything is current and up to date, and using them teaches valuable searching skills. Your list of resources is here. Look at them on you own, but be sure to see these:
- Discovery Portal
- Science Online
- World Book Student
- World Book Timelines
4. The Educators' Page is a wealth of resources just for teachers. There is SO much here! Be sure to look at these:
- Curriculum Toolbox - links to resources and articles
- iMatrix - standards, assessments, and lessons for inquiry
- Resources - includes Points of View Reference Center and Ancestry.com
5. Professional Development. This page offers a variety of webinars, learning modules, and self - directed lessons to get up to date on a variety of topics. You can also earn CEU's.
6. Research. If your students are doing any kind of research which requires them to gather sources and find valid information, this site, Ask, Act, Achieve, can help guide them through the process.
- Also, the new iSearch, available from the K - 5 resources page, allows students to search all of INFOhio's educational, approved resources for magazines, journals, ebooks, encyclopedias, etc. to find information on a topic.
7. Finally, from the left menu box on the K-5 resource page, you will find a link to a wealth of additional resources. From the Library of Congress to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, these links take you just about anywhere!
