Introduction
The student will learn about State park and there important to people and the States they are in.
Task
The students will learn the location of different parks and what the park introduce to the people that go there. Students will learn about one park from each State and the thing about the park. They will also write about wich park they will like to visit.
Process
A field trip to a State park in the area will be visited for the student to see what the park gives to people and why people go. As a teacher it is important to have a clear plan so if someone else has to come in they will know were the teacher is at. In my lesson the learning strategy is very clear and give the read and understanding of what that student will be learning. It also gives the reader the understanding of how the lesson will be taught. Having this can really give my Web Quest the. This is also where the teacher will see what prior knowledge the students have on the subject matter. This is important for before the lesson start the teacher can know who needs more help and attention. In the objective the reader will read all the objective that the student will need to have by the end of the lesson. The objective will also clear state the hands on activity that the students will be doing. By having hands on activities the student will be able to get away from traditional teaching and the fun will give the students the edge to relate the lesson to the activity. The next part of the lesson plan is the vocabulary. By introducing vocabulary in a social studies lesson the student will enlarge their vocabulary and this will make the student a better reader. By having a large vocabulary every student will be able to read better. As a person reads the words the mind is also processing the meaning of each word this gives the reader a quick understands of what they are reading. Without this the reader will get hung up on words and not get the meaning of what they are reading. As we move to the motivation part of the lesson plan the teacher will list things as videos, trade book, and maybe a guest speaker
Evaluation
Handouts will be given out to help the teacher evaluate the students. This can give way for if the students or student is not getting the information the teacher got not have to scramble to find a different way of teaching a student or students. In the review and assessment the teacher has things to review and go over the major part is the assessment it is important to have small assessments during the lesson as a teacher you want to know what the students are taking in so that as a teacher you know what to review. It is very important to now were the students are at and what they know. When taking to my mentor teachers and I decided to have more than one because I feel that having more than one I can cross reference and use the best.
Conclusion
The mentor teachers said it is very important to one know the students. Learn what the know how they learn behavior patterns. Knowing your students can give you as a teacher the upper hand and will give you away to teach more in short time. They said the more time you can make give you more time to help students that maybe struggling. The next thing they said is to have great plan the more detail to better it will be to teach and give the students and understanding of what is expected of them. They also told me the observer different teacher and different school. This is very important to see how teacher can teach differently and have a different outlook on the way they teach. Different school will have different students and that can make teachers teach differently. I very much agree with this by watching other teachers teach I can see what I want and do not want in my classroom. As I observe I also look at the teachers lesson plans. This gives me a way to see how different lesson plans or and to see how I want my lesson plans to be in my classroom. As I observe and talk to other teachers I can see how I want my class to be. I can see that I need to establish myself from the first day of school and set rules up. My mentor teachers said this is very important for the students will be ready to learn if they have a understanding of what is expected of them from the first day.
