Process

1. Watch Video about George Washington

2. Have a discussion about how Important George Washington is to the United States gaining their freedom, and becoming a country.

After the students gain all this information they will begin their journals. Each day after the students gain more information, they will be required to draw a picture and write a few sentences  about something that they learned that day.

Evaluation

(1) Needs Improvement- students don't draw anything, and have nothing written.

(2) Satisfactory- student has some pictures, and sentences related to the content we are learning in class.

(3) Excellent- students listen to directions, and have a picture along with sentences that are related to the content for each day of class.

Conclusion

Living in the United States gives you a lot of opportunities, and freedoms that you would not have in a lot of other countries. Many people move to the United States for these freedoms. Many things had to happen for you today to have this kind of freedom. Can you name any freedoms that you have?Image result for old time american flagImage result for old time american flag
