After reading and researching tall tale stories, I will be able to explain why tall tales were created and how hyperbole, metaphor, and simile are used to describe the characteristics and actions of tall tale characters. I will work with my teammates to invent a tall tale character that helps us solve a modern day problem.

Task
While navigating through your WebQuest journey, as a team you will explore additional sources of information to learn gain a deeper understanding about the tall tale characters Johnny Appleseed and Paul Bunyan. You will also learn about how hyperbole, metaphor, and simille are used in literature to creatively describe tall tale characters and be able to use these elements of writing when writing about your team's tall tale character.
You will expand your new insights about the people and inventions of Ancient China. Your task is to unanimously select the one invention you feel was most valuable and influential to Ancient China’s civilization and is still evidenced in the world today. You will develop a PowerPoint presentation that includes a persuasive argument, facts about the invention that detail the reasons why your selection is correct, and digital visual representation(s) of the invention.
