Introduction

You are a scientist, who is about to embark on a journey through the rainforest.  You will be researching an animal of your choice, and become a specialist on that animal.  You will use this information to create a slideshow in KidPix.

2nd grade Technology Project

Task

The final project will be a slideshow presentation, created in KidPix, that includes information about where in the world this animal lives, information about their habitat and diet, and daily life as this animal.  Your slideshow will consist of 3 slides.  Each slide should have both information and at least one picture!  

Process

First, you must choose one animal from the choices below.  Please make sure that you write the name of your animal on the recording sheet that I have given you.

Evaluation

You will be graded using the following rubric.

1- Student chose animal, did little or no research, & did not complete slideslow 

2- Student chose animal, did some research but was missing information, and student was missing information/pictures from slideshow

3- Student completed research questions & navigated through different websites.  Student completed slideshow with information and pictures, but could have been more detailed with summary of research.

4- Student completed research questions, added interesting facts to recording guide, and navigated through all of the websites available on WebQuest.  Student also wrote each website where information was found.  Student created slideshow that included a plentiful amount of information and pictures on specific animal.

Conclusion

Good Work!! You have completed your journey through the rainforest!
