the pythagorean quest

Introduction

this is the pythagorean quest, it is an amazing adventure into triangles. in this quest you will be exploring the pythagorean theorem. looking at different triangles and shapes solving for the different sides.do you know what the pythagorean theorem is and what it ia used for? do you know how they use it n the real world?

Task

gather all the work sheets on pythagorean theorem

complete the work sheets on the pythagorean theorem and check your answers.

http://msolifer.weebly.com/uploads/2/3/0/6/23069450/pythagorean_theorem…

then you will create a quiz for another student. the quiz must be grade level. also you will define and explain the pythagorean theorem.

Process

you will complete the first work sheet and keep it until you finish all three once you finish those then trade with another class mate and peer grade each other.

then you will make your test and the answer key for it. choose a classmate that you havent worked with often and swap quizzes with them and complete the quiz.

now you have to look up some videos of pythagorean theorem and find the definition and define it.

all these wil go in a folder.

you will have 3 days to work on this project.

Evaluation

you will be graded by my rubric

Conclusion

i hoped this leason helped you learn more about pythagorean theorem and what it is used for

also how to use and determine when to use it. the pythagorean theorem is only for right triangles and has an hypotenuse . the theorem is a2+b2=c2. you can use it to find the missing side of a triangle.
