Introduction
If you are to complete the following webquest correctly you will develop a deeper understanding of congruent triangles and how they are essential to the real world. If you are familiar with the famous Golden Gate Bridge in San Fransisco then you may be suprised to know that congruent triangles played an essential role in the building process. Over the couse of this webquest you and your partner will be tasked with designing your own bridge with the use of congruent triangles.
Task
Today in class you will become the architect for a new suspension bridge being built in your town. You and your assistant (one partner) must supply a blueprint for your bridge along with a digital image. The blueprint must include the measurment of the bridge and the dimensions of the triangular suspensions supporting it. You and your partner must contruct a proof showing the congruence between the two suspensions. You and your partner have only 2 days to complete this assignment. So make sure that you work efficiently, and don't slack off.
Process
You will be given 2 days to work on this webquest. Today will be the only time in class that you are allowed to work on this webquest. So use your time wisely! You are allowed to work alongside one partner of your choice.
Read the following steps carefully for they are the steps to complete your webquest.
1. Choose your partner. (Make sure to pick someone that will actually help you work)
2. Begin to design your blueprint on a peice of graph paper. Make sure to write both you and your partners name on the paper.
3. Draw out your bridge and include the suspensions. Make sure that you also write out all of the dimensions.
4. Now Constuct a proof that shows how the two triangles are congruent.
5.If you think that your work is fully complete and your partner and you have put forth all of your effort. You may now turn in the complete webquest.

The reason that I have decided to focus this webquest on congruent triangles is because it ws one of my most well understood subjects leaned in Mrs.Cousins class. It was also one of the topics we learned about that interested me the most. So I thought that I would have the ability to pass the information tht so interested me onto to other students.
