-Affirmative :

We use the present simple:

-for habits or action that happen regularly.

I watch TV every evening.

-for permanent situation.

He works at a restaurant.

Formation of the third person singular:

-In the third person singular (he-she-it) the verb takes the ending -s .

-Verbs which end in -ss, -sh, -ch, -x, -o, take -es

I relax - He relaxes         I go - She goes        I watch - It watches

-Verbs which end in a consonant + y change the y to i and take -es.

I study - He studies

-Verb which end in a vowel + y simply take -s.
