Introduction
INVERTEBRATES
The invertebrates are not just those little creatures that crawl among us, that bother us in summer, or they bite us on the beach ... the invertebrates are much more than that, they are very important on the planet: they pollinate, they serve as food for other animals and for us, they clean waste, produce food, etc.
What are invertebrates?
Invertebrates are animals that do not have backbones, also called vertebrae or spinal bones.
How are they classified?
Invertebrates as a group do not have a specific classification. Since vertebrates are classified by the chordate subphylum vertebrata, invertebrates are any other animal that is classified outside of that class.

Task
Welcome to your invertebrate webquest!
Today, we are going to learn about many different groups of invertebrates. Remember, 97% of all species of animals on Earth are invertebrates! It is impossible to learn about them all!
For this project you will work in groups and you will make a poster about one group of invertebrate of this webquest.
Your Poster must be organized as follows:
-
The title must have your Phylum Name (for example, Annelids, Cnidarians, etc.)
-
Half of your space needs to be dedicated to a labeled diagram of one organism from your Phylum.
-
You and your partner’s names must appear on the poster.
-
Must have all of your information from the question on it. Use full sentences!
-
Your Poster should be neat in appearance.
Process
Let's start!
Please, choose (you and your classmate) one invertebrate group.
Use the websites listed belong to find information about your group.
