Introduction to Transformations :)

Do you know what transformations are? If so, have you ever wondered how they are used in our everyday lives? You will now get a chance to explore four types of transformations.

Your task is to explore each of the following types of transformations: translations, reflections, rotations, and dilations using links to videos and websites below.

You will need to them complete your Transformations Webquest page in Kami that includes each of the following items for each type of transformation:

• an explanation of that type of transformation (Use complete sentences and complete and accurate details, please!)

• a drawing showing that type of transformation with shapes (Create your own drawing - you may use the shapes tool!)

• a picture example of that type of transformation in real-life (real-life = nature, architecture, etc.) (You may copy and paste a picture!)

You will also need to provide a link to a website (not one of the ones listed) relating to any or all of the transformations that you found interesting and a description of why that was interesting to your group. Use the comment tool (highlight Link). Type the reasoning in the document. 

You will need to provide a conclusion stating why learning about these transformations is important. Be specific, give details, and write in complete sentences.
