Welcome to the world of robotics! Robotics is an exciting field of technology that combines engineering and computer science to create machines that can sense, think, and act autonomously. Robotics is used in many industries, from manufacturing to healthcare, and is becoming increasingly important in our everyday lives.

In this WebQuest, you will explore the basics of robotics and learn more about the different types of robots, their applications, and the challenges they face. You will also learn about the design and building of robots, and the technology behind them.

Task 1: Research the Basics 

Start your journey into robotics by researching the basics of what robots are and how they work. Look up the following topics and take notes on what you find:

• What is a robot?

• What are the challenges of robot design and building?

At the end of this WebQuest, you will be evaluated on your ability to research and learn about robotics from the Internet. You will also be evaluated on your ability to apply the knowledge you gain from the WebQuest to your own life. Your final grade will be based on your completion of the tasks outlined in the WebQuest, how well you answered the questions, and your overall understanding of the material.

This WebQuest is designed to introduce students to the basics of robotics and its applications in the world today. It will also provide students with an understanding of the history of robotics and the different fields of robotics engineering. The WebQuest is best suited for students in grades 6-12 but can be adapted for higher or lower grade levels as needed. The WebQuest should take approximately 2-3 hours to complete.
