Introduction to Multiplying

Introduction

Multiplication is a shortcut that helps us find the total number of items when we find the total number of items when we have equal groups. It makes counting faster. Imagine you have 3 bags, and each bag has 5 colorful marbles. How many marbles do you have in total? You can count them one by one, but what if you had 10 or 20 bags? that will take a while.
