Introduction
Let's look for information about how humans inherit traits from their ancestors!
Task
1 Find written material (from anywhere) that extensively discusses human heredity.
2 Find written material that meets academic standards as a source and that extensively discusses human heredity.
1 Find two or more photos relevant to human heredity.
1 Find one or more videos relevant to human heredity.
Process
1. Use Google. Take some notes on the variety of perspectives about heredity that come up in a search.
2. Use your school library's journal resources. Take some notes on which publications come up for this topic.
3. You may find pictures anywhere, but remember to record their source and to cite it in your writing.
4. Similarly, look for videos that can answer the "who made this" question, and cite that information.
Evaluation
10 points each = general article, academic article, photos (two), video
If you find more than the minimum number, I will rate the best you found in each category, so get into the spirit of the search!
10 points each = write a short (1 to 3 sentence) description of each item and how it relates to human heredity.
Total points = 100
Your point total will act as a percentage for this grade.
Conclusion
In class, we will discuss what everyone found. What did you learn about heredity? What did you learn about what people online have to say about heredity?
