Educational Technology is the field of study that investigates the process of analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the instructional environment, learning materials, learners, and the learning process in order to improve teaching and learning.
Why is Educational Technology in Education Important?
Educational technology in education is important because it helps today’s teachers to integrate new technologies and tools into their classroom. Teachers are able to upgrade and improve the learner-centeredness of their classroom. It enables teachers to engage their students in unique, innovative, and equitable ways. Teachers are also able to expand their network and connect with other teachers and educators nationally and globally.
Task
In this task the student or the groups will be able to choose what educational technology to perform in a class.
- The student/groups will choose their educational technology to examine and know how to manipulate and discuss it in the class.
- Give a time to them to discover what is the parts of educational technology, what is the function, what is the advantages, and what is the importance.
- The groups of the member will be participate for their own learning.
- The presentation in class is excellent.
Process
- The teacher will be able to bring some affordable educational technology in the class.
- Make an interactive activities.
- Interrogative questioning from the easy to complex that will be enhance their higher order thinking skills;
- And give an feedback to them.

Today, more than ever, the role of educational technology in teaching is of great importance because of the use of information and communication technologies. With the help of various applications for distance education, the Internet, teachers, and students themselves, they see the advantage of educational technology. The question is whether schools and teachers themselves are ready for the use of technology in education and whether they are aware of its benefits.
