Introduction
Wildfire is a part of nature. It plays a key role in shaping ecosystems by serving as an agent of renewal and change. But, fire can be deadly, destroying homes, wildlife habitat and timber and polluting the air with emissions harmful to human health. Fire also releases carbon dioxide- a key greenhouse gas—into the atmosphere, and it's effect on the landscape may be long-lasting. Fire effects are influenced by forest conditions before the fire and management action taken or not taken after the fire
Your task is to research what the effect of fire is on the environment. consider:
The positive and negative impacts of fires.
The effect on animals living in the area, where do they live if they survive the fire?
Do fires have an effect on global warming?
The inquiry questions discussed in class.

Evaluation
You will create an A3 poster in your groups to display in the classroom.
An informal class sharing discussion will help you share what you have learned with the rest of the class.
