Imagery and the 5 Senses

Introduction

Imagery means to use figurative language to represent objects, actions, and ideas in such a way that it appeals to our physical senses. Authors utilize imagery to give life to a scene in a piece of literature. Similarly, authors may use descriptive language to help the readers to immerse themselves into a work.

The five senses include:

- taste
