Illinois Biomes

Introduction

Write a paragraph to introduce the activity, your purpose and how the end product will be valuable to students.  It should pique the interest of the learner, set the stage and provide background information.  Include CCSS Standards, just as your lesson plans do.

Guided Questions: This is a list of questions that must be answered, stated before the Assignment Tasks.

Task

Guided Questions: This is a list of questions that must be answered, stated before the Assignment Tasks.

Task:  This section explains the end (expected) results of the WebQuest; this would include a description of the final work product.

Process

Process: Each assignment task, often prepared on separate pages, will describe what the students will do with the information they learn and how; for example: oral report, answer questions with a group and record responses, create a slideshow, prepare an artistic brochure.  Each assignment needs an explanation of your expectation, not just a link to read.  Each assignment should be designed with links to videos, activities, websites, and explicit assignments for students to thoroughly understand the topic.

Resources: (websites, videos, etc.): This is a list of Internet locations that are available for learners to use to accomplish the Assignment Tasks. It could include links and websites for further study.

Evaluation

Evaluation Rubric: Please create a thorough rubric appropriate for your grade level; it is an evaluation of criteria by points that students will need to know in advance to explain how they will meet performance and content standards expectations.  Explain to students that they should be able to assess themselves upon completing tasks.

Conclusion

Conclusion: This page summarizes what the student will have accomplished or learned by completing the WebQuest.  It should bring closure, summary, and encourage their reflection of the process and results; explain if these questions should be answered with a partner, a group, or in a written response, etc. (state how this should be answered).
