INTRODUCTION:
Welcome to learning about shapes and colors. We see different shapes and colors in our everyday life so today, we will be learning how to identify the different shapes and colors that are around us ! You will learn how to pronounce the color and shapes, how to identify them, and how to match them.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE:
- Students will be able to identify different shapes.
- Students will learn how to tell different colors.
- Student will learn how to say the colors and shapes.
- Students will work together in groups in learning shapes and colors.
Task
Your task is to explore the different shapes and colors that you see around you. Students will work in a group of 2 and look around the classroom and pick 3 items to take back to the table and identify the shape and color by matching them with the shape cutouts and colors provided for them.
-You will be provided with shape and color cutouts and will learn how to match and say the colors and shapes.
-At the end of the activity, you will show the class the 3 items you pick and be able to tell them the shape and color.
Process
STEP 1: GATHER IN PAIR'S
- Students will gather in groups of 2.
- Each group will get a set of shape and color cutouts.
STEP 2: PICK 3 ITEMS
-Students will gather 3 items to take back to their desk.
STEP 3: IDENTIFY AND MATCH
- Students will have 10 minutes to identify the color and the shape of the items that they pick out.
- Students will match the shape and colors with the cutouts offered to them.
STEP 4: PRESENTATION
- Students will present to the class the items they had picked out and tell the class the shapes and colors of them.

Evaluation
The following assignment will be graded based on this rubric:
Correctness: Did the students identify and match the items shapes and colors correctly ? ( 10 Points )
Teamwork: Did the students work well together and participate ? ( 5 Points )
Identify: Can the students state the colors and shapes correctly ? ( 5 Points )
Presentation: Did the students present their work to the class correctly and clearly ? ( 10 Points )
