Introduction

                     Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

 

The fourth amendment is stating that no one is allowed to come in your house and search around without a warrant . if they don’t have a warrant to check your house you have a right to say they may not come in your house and search

  • Warrant is needed to search people houses
  • Cant unreasonably search someones house
  • By oath or affirmation you need to describe the place being searched
