How Do We Learn? Exploring Three Theories of Learning

Introduction

Have you ever wondered how your brain learns new things? Why do you remember some things easily but need practice for others? Imagine you’re a “Learning Detective,” trying to solve a mystery: How do people learn best?

In this WebQuest, you will explore three different learning theories that teachers use every day:

🌟 Cognitive Psychology

🌟 Behaviorism

🌟 Social Cognitive Theory

Each theory explains learning in a different way. Your job is to investigate them just like a detective, compare what you discover, and create something that shows how YOU think students learn best.

Task

You will work through a set of steps to learn about all three learning theories.

Then you will create a Learning Detective Poster that:

✔ explains each theory in your own words

✔ gives examples from real life

✔ shows how the three theories are different

✔ includes pictures, color, and creativity

Your poster will be graded using the WebQuest Rubric shown in the Evaluation section.
