Where are Animal's Homes?

Introduction

My name is Hailey Wilkinson. This webquest is called Where are Animal's Homes? It is about putting animals in their correct habitat. This would be directed at second grade students and the subject is science. The Colorado Standard I am following is use evidence to develop a scientific explanation about how organisms depend on their habitat. (DOK 2-3). The objective of this lesson is the students will pick an animal of their choice and put it in the correct habaitat by drawing a picture of the animal in it's home and writing down three facts about the animal's home.

Task

The assigment is all about animals. I would like yoy to pick your favorite animal. Now think of where that animal lives. Please draw a picture of that animal and the home it lives in. An animal's home is called its habitat. Your last step in this project is to come up with three facts explaining why the animal lives in this habitat.

Step one: Pick your favorite animal.

Step two: Draw your favorite animal in its habitat (home).

Step three: Use the three websites below to find three facts on why your animal in their habitat and write it down.

Conclusion

After this project you will know more about your favorite animal. You get to learn about this animal and its home. They have homes just like you. This home is called a habitat. Each animal lives in a habitat for a certain reason. This project will also help you learn why animals live where they do.
