Healthy Children Nutrition

Introduction

In this course, the students will learn the essentials of a healthy lifestyle.

Task

The students will prepare 3 healthy meals; Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Process

Breakfast should include; Protein (eggs, meat or oatmeal) Dairy (milk, yogurt, or cheese) Vegetables/Fruit(Spinach, Kale, or  Any Fruit of choice)

Lunch should include;  Vegetables (any leafy Greens) Protein (Meat or Grains) 

Dinner should include; Proteins (Lean Meat or Poultry/Fish) Vegetables (Any Vegetable) Grains (Rice preferably Brown Rice or Whole Grained Breads)

Students will add seasonings without salt. Students will find an herb or their choice to implement

 

Evaluation

Each task is worth 25 points. There will be a tasting with explanations of chosen foods for meals. Extra 5 points for the best desired herb and spices which compliments the meal.

Conclusion

Each Meal will be graded by different students and voted for best meal. Each student will have designed a healthy meal for each part of the day.
