Greek Mythology

Introduction

Hello, today we will be covering Greek Mythology. There are many different Greek Gods and Goddesses we will talk about today in class, as well as any myths and legends associated with the Gods and Goddesses. You will be assigned a Greek God or Goddess of whom you will have to research and answer questions about later.

Task
  1. Before diving into Greek Mythology, complete the vocabulary worksheet attached below.
  2. After being assigned your Greek God or Goddess, you will need to do read the myth or legend associated with that Greek God or Goddess.
  3. Once you have read the story over the Greek God or Goddess, you will need to do some basic research over them as well. Don’t forget to write down your findings as you will need them later on.
  4. Complete the Greek Mythology Worksheet attached at the bottom.
  5. To your best ability, DRAW your Greek God or Goddess. DON’T FORGET TO ADD COLOR. BE mindful to what your God or Goddess is described as looking like.
  6. Create a small presentation board over your Greek God/Goddess. All materials needed are located at the back of the classroom on the activity desk.
Process
  1. Complete Greek Mythology Vocabulary to become familiar with words you will see.
  2. Read the myth or legend associated with your God/Goddess.
  3. Do light research over God/Goddess.
  4. Take notes over everything from vocabulary words used in your story to details about God/Goddess.
  5. Complete Greek Mythology Worksheet.
  6. Draw God/Goddess & Create visual presentation using all research and materials offered on activity table.

Evaluation

You will be graded individually. Each assignment will be for a certain amount of point which will determine your grade on your whole project. Aside from getting points from assignments, you will get points for time management, creativity, and how much thought you put into the whole project overall.

Conclusion

Write ONE paragraph explaining what you learned and how these assignments helped you learn more about Greek Mythology and your assigned God/Goddess.
