A good friend

Introduction

In this page we are going to learn what it means to be a good friend, the good qualities of a friend.

First, we are going to read and listen to Tara’s story about her friend Zach.

Second, answer the questions given in the second page.

Task

We are going to use Present Simple.

  • Present Simple is used when: facts, habits, routine, schedules etc.

1. What do you look in a friend? Order the sentences below. Number them from 1 (very important) to 7 (not very important)

  • listens to your problems 
  • doesn’t talk about you behind your back
  • spends a lot of time with you
  • always tells you the truth
  • never breaks an arrangement 
  • is interested in all your hobbies and activities 
  • puts you first before a boyfriend/girlfriend 

2. Read the story 

  1. Who is the girl on the horse?
  2. Who takes the photo of her?
  3. Who recieves the photo of her?
Evaluation

The first task has 10 points.

The second task has 3 points for each question.

Conclusion

We learned about what it means to be a good friend.
