Introduction
For this project we have discussed prior what makes a good citizen... and we have asked ourselves what is a citizen? what is the proper definition of the word "good"? We all agreed having the right qualities for a particular role is the perfect definition. When talking about what a citizen is we all agreed, as a class, a citizen is a person that belongs to a nation just like the students being a member of this classroom! As in this classroom we have rules so does the nation. As we follow the rules in this classroom we should also do so outside of the classroom.
Task
In this project the children are required to cut and paste images showing good citizens actions such as...
- sharing
- cleaning up
- being kind
- telling the truth
- report when needed
Cutting and pasting images on a board to show these actions and more if the student can come up with more! After showing the board the children are to also do a small performance of at least 30 seconds showing a good citizens action with their partner!
Process
- Find a partner
- One partner is responsible to collect magazines from home or printing images
- One partner is responsible for board
- Cut images (minimum 15 images)
- Glue images
- Label what action is shown (sharing, being kind, cleaning up, etc.) CAN BE ONE ACTION WITH MORE THAN ONE IMAGE
- Have performance prepared with partner (minimum 30 seconds)

Conclusion
Good job! Now you can connect what it is to be a good citizen in and out of the classroom! Remember rules apply in and out of school and by working with your partner you receive an extra point! :) Helping one another is also an act of a good citizen.
