  • Gain a lot of information about Ireland & Dublin
  • Learn how to organize your flight
  • Find suitable accomondation that fits your budget
  • Decide what you want to experience/see in Dublin (has to be something within the area, culture & society)
  • Finally you will learn how to evaluate your trip and then gain some experience that will definitely benefit you the next time you will be planning a trip to somewhere
Process

THE PROCESS

Step 1: Find information about your travel destination

There are many different pages where you can learn/read about Ireland and Dublin.

Here are some examples:

Official holiday website for Ireland: http://www.ireland.com/en-gb/

For basic but important facts use wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ireland / https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dublin

Step 2: Planning

You have gained some new information about your travel destination and you can now start planning your trip!

Before you start spending, you should check how much your 1000€ are worth in DKK. At this way you will then be able to establish a better view on whether your flight tickets, activities and so on have a fair price.

Use following link to reach the currency converter: http://www.tourist-information-dublin.co.uk/guides/tourist-information-…

Now you have to find your flight tickets and thereby also start spending! Find the best flight to the best price and write it down. Remember to write down the dates for your departure and return as well!

Use the following websites to find the best flight tickets for you:

Ryanair.com

Momondo.com

Now you have to find out what you would like to experience in Dublin and which hotel/hostel you would like to stay at. Dublin has many different offers, so use this guide to find the ones that are most suitable for you:

http://www.fodors.com/world/europe/ireland/dublin

When making your activity picks remember that they have to be something within culture and society! This can therefore be about many different things. Maybe you could find some places/locations where you can learn something about the Irish people and why they are so close. To achieve any knowledge about this, you could find out why they are called "The Fighting Irish" and how this affects the Irish people in their daily lives and in their feelings about being Irish (are they proud etc.).

Also remember that Dublin has a very interesting story with many crucial events, so you could learn a lot about the culture and society in Dublin if you go to a museum or if you find some old monuments that says something about the history of Ireland & Dublin.

Step 3: Analyse & Checklist

Now that you have planned your trip, you have to analyse it. First of all make sure that you have stayed within your budget and then remember to make a day planner, so that you constantly have an overview of the things that you need to do in Dublin. You can also use the day planner in your evaluation later, so to make the planner more valuable you should rate every day of the trip on a rating from 1-5 stars. You should do the same about your flight tickets and accommodation.

Here is a checklist to make it easier for you:

Checklist

Check if your brochure contains the following information:

- flight (places, times, price)

- itinerary (of your flight, of your trip in Ireland)

- budget (how much does everything cost?)

- all the relevant information for the kind of activity you've chosen

Evaluation

EVALUATION

Here you have to evaluate everything about your trip:

Use 1-5 star rating and then describe the downsides and the upsides of every rated thing.

The topics to rate could be:

- Planning/organizing the trip

- How effective was it to use the internet for your planning and information searching

- The flight, accommodation and picked acitivites
