Introduction
The planet that we live on, Earth, is our only home. We are the most intelligent beings here as humans, yet we are destroying where we live. Humans have caused global warming to grow at a rapid pace and it is alarming. Glaciers are melting, sea levels are rising, animals are dying off, and the weather is changing not for the better.
Task
Although this is a major issue, there are "climate change deniers" out there who completely disregard the topic, our President being one of them. Your task is very important. You work for the Secret Service as global warming is becoming a world wide issue. You must get through the President's head and let him know what can be done to stop it before it is too late! Gather as much information as you can on global warming: What it is, the Greenhouse Effect, Causes, and Solutions. You will put all of this information into a PowerPoint to present to the President.
Process
Watch this video on Climate Change to get a better understanding of it. Then, do your own research on the topic. List what it is, the green house effect, causes, and solutions into a powerpoint that you will be presenting. Your presentation must be at least five minutes, but no longer than 10 minutes.
Evaluation
You will be rated on a scale of 1 to 4, 4 being the highest score, of each requirement.
| Presentation | 1. Had 1-2 slides. | 2. Had 2-3 slides | 3. Had 3-4 slides. | 4. Had 4 and more slides. |
| Information | 1. Gave less than the minimum requirements. | 2. Gave minimal information on each requirement. | 3. Had each requirement, but got off topic. | 4. Had each requirement, good information, stayed on topic. |
| Time | 1. 1-2 minutes | 2. 3 minutes | 3. 4 minutes or over 10 minutes. | 4. 5-10 minutes |
Conclusion
I hope you all know what global warming is now and what you can do to better the environment for everyone. This is an issue that will be going on throughout your entire lifetime, but at least you all know the facts now and understand them.
