Introduction

Imagine you are part of a youth council tasked with helping your community solve real-world problems. From poverty to climate change, the world faces challenges that need creative solutions. In this WebQuest, you will explore the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and design a community project proposal that connects global issues to local action.

Task

Your mission is to:

  • Research one SDG of your choice.

  • Create a community action plan (poster + short written proposal) showing how your school or neighborhood can contribute to achieving that goal.

  • Present your plan to the class as if you were pitching it to local leaders.

 

 

Process
  1. Choose an SDG: Review the 17 SDGs and select one that interests you.

  2. Research: Use the provided websites to gather information about your chosen SDG.

  3. Analyze: Identify how this global issue affects your local community.

  4. Plan: Design a poster and write a 1–2 page proposal outlining your action plan.

  5. Present: Share your work with classmates in a short presentation.
