George Orwell, pseudonym of Eric Arthur Blair was born on the 25th of June, 1903 in Bengal, India and died on the 21st of January, 1950 in London. He was an English novelist, and essayist and was critically renowned for his novels Animal farm (1945) and Nineteen Eighty-four (1949). His novels are strongly characterized by his stance on totalitarianism and democratic socialism.
