Locate the following cities and physical features in Tennessee:
- Cities—Chattanooga, Knoxville, Memphis, Nashville
Introduction:
There are approximately 6.83 MILLION people that live in Tennessee, and we are a few of those people! However, many of those people live in our "big cities." Our cities with the highest population are Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. Today, we will learn more about those cities.
Task
You will be inspecting the major cities of Tennessee. First, you will explore a website with an interactive map to find details about these cities and their location. Then, you will take notes on the important information to include in your graphic organizer. To conclude, you will fill out a blank map of Tennessee to show where these cities are located on a map.
Process

Steps for this Task:
Step 1: Go to this website.
Step 2: Use your computer mouse to click on the major cities (Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga).
Step 3: Take notes about the cities. Make sure to include the population of the city, at least one fact about it, and the direction it is from our school (north, south, northwest, etc.).
Step 4: Use your notes to fill out this graphic organizer.
Step 5: Using your new knowledge of the location of the cities, fill out this blank map of Tennessee. For bonus points, you can also label the rivers and mountains.
