Introduction
You will be writing a Found Poem using the Word Mover app from ReadWriteThink.org.
Make sure to follow instructions, and watch/read all the links.

Task
Random House Books wants your help to make a new book Poetry from our History. By the time you are done with the "Process" step below you will have a Found Poem created using one of the following documents:
- Dr. Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech.
- Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address from 1863.
- Shakespeare's Sonnet 18.
- The lyrics from the song, "America the Beautiful."
Process
1. Watch the video on what makes a poem, a poem. Make sure to plug in and put on your headphones before clicking on the link.
2. Read about Found Poetry:

4. Select the document you will be using for your poem (at the library desk).
5. Follow the instructions for writing a found poem, using your selected document.

Write your draft on the back of your document. You can also darken the words on the document you will not be using to create a found poem on the actual document.
6. Using the Word Mover app, complete your poem.

7. Don't forget to save your draft, and final, on the H DRIVE.
