Introduction

Students will learn the different types of shooting techniques used in football and the situations in which they are applied. Students will demonstrate the correct techniques when performing these skills. Students will work cooperatively in groups and explain the key coaching points while demonstrating each skill.

Task

Students will use online resources to learn about the different types of shooting techniques in football.

Students will state the various coaching points associated with each shooting skill.

Students will be able to practice and demonstrate these skills during class both individually and collaboratively.

Striking the ball with the correct part of the foot

Leaning slightly forward

Following through toward the target

Students will be able to demonstrate each shooting skill correctly, focusing on body positioning, foot placement, and accuracy.

Evaluation

Students were able to correctly define and use key terms related to football shooting.
