Introduction
In this webquest you will learn about the flowering plants. Many plants produce flowers. Flowers are important as they are the reproductive organ of the flowering plant. A single flower gives rise to seeds and fruits. A flower has many parts all of which has special function. Some parts of the flower are the petal, sepal, ovary, stigma, stamen, pistil and anther.
Task
You will be able to:
1. list the parts of the flower
2. describe correctly at least four parts of the flower.
3. classify parts of flower as male and female.
4 work cooperatively in groups.
Process
1. You will listen to a podcast on The Plant System.

2. You will watch a video presentation on "Flower Structure and its Parts"
3. You will view a video presentation on how to dissect a flower "Dissection of a Hibiscus Flower"
4. In group you will answer questions such as
a list the names of the parts of the flower.

c classify parts as female and male
Each group will report findings and teacher will engage discussion and make clarification if necessary.
