Process
Step 1: You need to save the document by following the instruction below.
- Go to File and then Save As.
- On the far left look in the column for the word Computer. Under computer there will be a choice that starts with 1091...
- Click on this and a bunch of folders will appear.
- Locate the one that says floener and click on it.
- Save your document with your last name and the period number (Ryan Feo-per3)
Step 2: Begin by looking up the definitions for each of the words below. Use www.dictionary.com. Fill in the third column of your chart with the definitions and the second column with their parts of speech.
Step 3: You now will use the internet as a resourse to find these words used in context. Record the sentence and the source into the box in the fourth column of the chart.
- Example: "A base pay rate is the rate an employee gets paid for working their ordinary hours. It doesn’t include any loadings or penalty rates." (http://www.fairwork.gov.au/pay/pay-penalty-rates-overtime-and-allowance…)
Step 4: Look at the sentence you have chosen in context and then explain what does the word mean in that sentence.
- Example: Rate in this sentence means the amount the employee is paid for the hours they work.
