First Responders

Ms. Sanes Web Quest on First Responders

Through this this Webquest, students will be describing different types of first responders. Throughout the process, several different types of first responder will be explained, listing their job, importance, and where they can be found. Each student will be assigned a different, specific first responder that they will have to do research on.

During this Webquest, each student will be researching a different first responder. When researching, students will be asked to where to find these first responder, what they do, who they help, and any new and interesting information that they found. While researching, students should think about what would happen if these first responders were not around, what would happen to the community. It is important for students to know that there are so many different types of first responders that they see every day in their neighborhood and should be able to recognize what an impact they give to the community. Students will be given the option to present their research through a poster or any other 3-D representation. The students will also be required to write a short description on what they learned about their first responder.
