Introduction

Have you ever been bored at home with nothing to do and nowhere to go!
You are a detective trying to identify and discover what your town really needs for people your OWN age!
You will be placed into groups of three. Each group will have a team named that is to be placed on your completed task.
Put your thinking caps on and lets get discovering!
Task
As detectives you are to research local areas such as parks and recreational arenas that are available for use for children your age.
After collecting the data and information, you are to create an alternative venue that you think will accommodate and encourage children to use the venue.
You are to think about where the venue will go, how much it will be to run the venue and build.

Process
To accomplish your mission as a detective, you are to create a venue that is inviting, fun and works well in your community (something that is needed)!
1. Place yourselves in groups of three. Create a mind map of things around your community, eg. Parks, community centres. Use: https://bubbl.us/
2. You are to research on the library computers or your own computer, the locations you have listed in your mind map. As detectives, you are to find the missing piece for teenage children in your town.
3. Once you have figured out a location, the cost and what the venue will, create a spreadsheet using Microsoft Excel, stating the costs etc.
4. Within your group, you are to find your own resources and materials to build your venue. Cardboard boxes, glue, sticky tape and scissors will be provided within the classroom.
5. As detectives you will show the class the “missing piece” of your town, that you are going to build, and explain why and the costs.
You have completed your mission detectives!
