Farm Life (Animal Research)

This unit is all about farm animals; their diets, lifecycle and what they look like. Each child will be put in a group designated to research a given animal. They will follow a rubric and set of questions to answer. Once the research is complete, the group will be assigned to create a presentation to share with the class.

Throughout this unit, we have been learning all about farm animals. We have read books, looked at websites, and visited a local farm. Now the students are ready to put their knowledge to use to make an awesome presentation. The groups will be given an animal to do some further research on and then create a visual to share with the class.

Step 2: Fill out the forms:

As a group, fill out the forms that match your animal, like the ones below.

Process 3: Create the presentation

Once your forms are done; create a PowerPoint presentation or poster that displays everything you have learned about your animal.

During this project you have had the opportunity to show how much you knew and learned about your animals and their lifestyle. This project required creativity and cooperation with your group, what amazing skills to have! In the next few days you will have the chance to teach the class about your animal and all the fun facts you have gathered!
