Introduction
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to live on another planet? In this activity, you will become an astronaut exploring our solar system! You’ll investigate each planet’s unique features, discover how they compare to Earth, and learn why life can only exist on our planet (so far!).
Task
Your task is to research the planets in our solar system and create a digital presentation titled “Exploring the Wonders of the Solar System.” You will work in groups of four, and each member will be assigned specific planets to study. Your presentation should include visuals, key facts, and interesting trivia about each planet.
Process
1. Form a group of 3–4 classmates.
2. Choose one planet from the list provided by your teacher.
3. Use the given resources below to research your planet’s details.
4. Gather data about its appearance, atmosphere, weather, moons, and special features.
5. Create a travel brochure using Canva, PowerPoint, or Google Slides.
6. Present your brochure to the class and explain why people should (or shouldn’t) visit your planet.
Evaluation
| Criteria | Excellent (5) | Good (4) | Fair (3) | Needs Improvement (2) |
| Content Accuracy | Complete and accurate information | Mostly accurate | Some inaccuracies | Many errors |
| Creativity | Highly engaging and original presentation | Creative and organized | Some creativity shown | Lacks creativity |
| Collaboration | Excellent teamwork and equal contribution | Good teamwork | Uneven participation | Poor teamwork |
| Presentation | Clear, confident, and well-prepared | Understandable but needs improvement | Some confusion | Unclear or unprepared |
Conclusion
You’ve now traveled through the Solar System and discovered what makes each planet special. Through this WebQuest, you’ve learned how to research, collaborate, and present scientific information in a creative way. Remember—exploration doesn’t end here! Keep looking up, because there’s always more to discover beyond the stars.
