Welcome Explorers! Get ready to go on an adventure! You are going to take a trip around the United States to explore mountain ranges, lakes, rivers, and oceans. You will be able to give us directions to your location by ordinates of longitude and latitude. Have a fun trip!

Task
This group of explorers will create a poster board presentation of your trip! On the poster board you will create an illustration of the geographical features of the places you explored! The poster will have information about the mountain ranges, rivers, lakes, and oceans that you visited! You will also draw the lines of longitude and latitude for each place you explored.

Process
You will use your social studies textbooks and online resources to get information on the major geographical features of the United States. You will explore the major mountain ranges, rivers, lakes, and oceans of the United States. After you are done exploring you are to create a poster board presentation. Draw a map of the places that you visited on your adventure. Write a description of your favorite mountain range, river, lake, and ocean that you explored. Include the longitude and latitude ordinates of each location on the poster board.

Conclusion
Write a reflection in your journals describing the geography features of the United States. What did you find most interesting on your adventure around the United States? Would you go on a trip to the mountains, river, lake, or ocean that you visited? Explain why you would or would not like to visit the location.
