Introduction
Welcome to the Irish Culture class. In this two day lesson, you will learn about the famous Irish myths. In groups, you will explore and investigate a myth and present your findings to the class!
Day 1: Research Myth and start creating powerpoint in groups.
Day 2: Finish powerpoint and practice presentation
Day 3: Present Powerpoint to class and Peer Evaluation
Learning Objectives:
Students will become more familiar with Irish Culture.
Students will investigate Irish Myth using Webquest on a computer or tablet.
Students will create a powerpoint about their research Irish Myth.
Students will present their powerpoint to the class using new vocabulary in English.
Students will collaborate with group members to finish all tasks.
Task
The class will be divided into six groups, between 5-6 people in each group. Each group will investigate an Irish Myth and answer key questions regarding their myth. Next, the group will create a powerpoint about their myth. There must between 6-10 slides and your powerpoint must include a short video of the myth. Finally, the group will present the powerpoint to the class and every group member must participate and explain at least one slide. Good luck!
Process
You will investigate information about your group's myth by reading two articles and a video to have a better understanding about your myth. After you investigate, your group will make a powerpoint between 6-10 slides about the myth. Each person in the group must explain at least one slide. Don't forget to include pictures and videos of your myth.

Each group will be evaluated using a rubric with four different categories:

Conclusion
By the end of the lesson, students will know more about Irish myths and culture and will have improved their research, speaking and presentation skills. They also will experience with Webquest for future activities. To conclude this activity, students will discuss what they learned in regards to Irish Myths and to improve group work, each student will complete a peer evaluation and grade their partners on participation and their contribution to the group.
