Introduction
Imagine waking up in a country where laws, freedoms, and leadership are completely different from what you know.
Who makes the rules? How are leaders chosen? Why do countries govern their people differently?
In this WebQuest, you will travel virtually around the world to explore how different nations are governed. As young global citizens, understanding government systems helps you appreciate your rights, responsibilities, and the world you live in.
Task
Your task is to:
1. Research three major forms of government:
• Democracy
• Monarchy
• Dictatorship
2. Select one country representing each system and gather information about how that system works in real life.
3. Create a final product (choose one):
• A comparative infographic, or
• A 3-slide digital presentation, or
• A short report (1–2 pages)
Your output must clearly compare the three systems, highlight real examples, and explain their impact on citizens.

Step 1: Learn the Basics
Read or watch the provided resources to understand the three government systems.
Step 2: Select Your Countries
Choose one country that represents each system:

Step 3: Research Key Questions
For each government system and country, answer:
• Who makes the decisions?
• How are leaders selected?
• What rights do citizens have?
• How are laws created?
• What is daily life like under this system?
Step 4: Create Your Output
Choose one:
• Infographic: Use Canva, PowerPoint, Google Slides, etc.
• Digital presentation: 3 slides minimum (one per government system).
• Short report: 1–2 pages comparing the systems.
Step 5: Submit and Discuss
Upload or print your work.
Be ready to explain what you discovered and which system you think works best for society—and why.
