Exploring florida everglades elementary grade

Introduction

In this WebQuest, students will learn about the Florida Everglades and why it is important. Students will explore animals, plants, and how people can protect this special environment. By the end of the lesson, students will be able to explain what the Everglades are, name living things found there, and describe ways to help protect nature.

Task

Students will work in small groups to create a short digital poster or slideshow about the Florida Everglades. Each group will focus on one topic: animals, plants, the environment, or protection. Groups will share their project with the class.

Process

 

  1. Students are placed into groups of 3–4.

  2. Each student is given a role: Researcher, Writer, Designer, or Presenter.

  3. Students visit the teacher-approved websites to learn about the Everglades.

  4. Students write down important facts and discuss them with their group.

  5. Groups create a digital poster or slideshow.

  6. Groups present their project to the class.
