Exploring the Everglades!

Introduction

Hello, Explorers! 🐊🌱

The Everglades is a special place in Florida where many animals and plants live. Have you seen an alligator, a panther, or a big bird before? The Everglades is their home!

Guiding Questions:

  • SC.K.L.14.3: Observe plants and animals and describe how they are alike and different.

  • ELA.K12.EE.1.1: Cite evidence to explain what you learn.

Bloom’s Taxonomy (Kindergarten level):

  • Remember: Name animals and plants.

  • Understand: Talk about where they live.

  • Apply: Draw and share what you learned.

On the poster, you will:

  1. Show at least 3 animals that live in the Everglades.

  2. Show at least 2 plants that live there.

  3. Add a sentence about how we can help protect the Everglades.

Then, each group will share their poster with the class.
