Introduction
Welcome, 7th graders! In this webquest, you will embark on a journey to explore the rich tapestry of family structures that exist globally. Families come in various forms, each shaped by unique cultural, social, and historical factors. By the end of this quest, you will gain a deeper understanding of the diversity of family life around the world. For my 7th grades, A family is a group of two or more persons related by birth, marriage, or adoption who live together; all such related persons are considered as members of one family. There are several family types in the world. These include nuclear families, single-parent family, extended family, blended family, sibling family, and same sex family. So, my 7th graders I hope this topic will be interest you and you will learn interesting facts about the topic.

Task
You will be asked to research the different types of family structures in the Caribbean. You will consider using nuclear families, extended families, single-parent families, sibling families, and blended families. you will use reliable sources such as books, articles, and websites.You will be asked to create a chart or visual representation highlighting an image with each family type and members that the family comprises of including roles, responsibilities, and cultural influences.

Process
Step 1: In this first step, you are required to use the link provided to access information about the different family types in the Caribbean. In this article, it will give an overview about what is a family and the different types of family in the Caribbean. Also, it will outline the characteristics of the different types of family and have factors that may have contributed to the formation of this family.
Step 2: For this step, you will be given cartridge paper sheets and other resources to create their family trees.
Step 3: In this step, you will be asked to create your own family trees and describe the relationships between members on the family tree. (You do not have to use your own family).
Step 4: Now that the family trees have being created, you will be asked to display your family tree and talk about the role of each family member to the class.
Step 5: The next step in the process is for you to apply what you have learnt by engaging in a panel discussion . You will discussed 4 of the factors that may have contribute to the formation of the single parent family in the Caribbean.
Evaluation
An analytic rubric is being used a scoring guide that will used to identify the different categories that are relevant to the WebQuest and learning objectives. It is divided into components of the assignment which contains a detailed description that clearly outline what will be marked for in each category and the points that will be given for each category.

The timeframe for completing this webquest was three days.
