You’ve just joined a team of international archaeologists on an exciting mission to uncover the secrets of Ancient Egypt. From pyramids and pharaohs to mummies and mysterious hieroglyphs, there’s a world of history waiting for you to explore.

In this WebQuest, you’ll travel through time to investigate how the Ancient Egyptians lived, what they believed, and the legacy they left behind. Are you ready to dig in?

Task

Your mission is to create a multimedia presentation (Google Slides or PowerPoint) that will be presented to a group of visiting museum guests. Your team will choose one aspect of Ancient Egyptian civilization to investigate:

1.Egyptian Pyramids & Architecture

2.Pharaohs and Government

3.Daily Life in Ancient Egypt

4.Religion and Mythology

5.Mummification and Burial Practices

6.Hieroglyphics and Written Language

Each team will present their findings, using images, maps, and primary source material from reliable web resources.

Process

Step 1: Form Your Teams

You’ll work in teams of 3–4 students. Each member will take on a specific role (researcher, designer, presenter, writer).

 

Step 2: Choose Your Topic

Select one of the six topics listed in the "Task" section.

 

Step 3: Conduct Research

Use the list of websites in the “Resources” section. Take notes, summarize key points, and gather visuals.

 

Step 4: Create Your Presentation

Design a 6–8 slide presentation covering:

*Title Slide (with group names)

*Introduction to your topic

*Key findings (3–4 slides)

*Visuals (maps, photos, diagrams)

*Fun Facts

*Sources Slide (cite websites used)

 

Step 5: Rehearse and Present

Practice your presentation and be ready to share your work with the class.
