Exploring Ancient Egypt

Introduction

Students will be able to use online resources to describe key aspects of Ancient Egyptian life including religion, daily life, government and contributions to civilization.

Task

Students will work in groups of 2–3 and research one key aspect of Ancient Egyptian life, then create a short Google Slides or poster presentation teaching and informing the class about what they discovered. Topics to choose from:

  • Egyptian Pharaohs and Government

  • Religion and Gods

  • Daily Lifestyle of Egyptians (food, clothing, family roles)

  • Egyptian Achievements (inventions, pyramids, writing)

Process

    • What was your topic about?

    • Why was it important to Ancient Egyptians?

    • What are 3–5 interesting facts you learned?

    • How did this affect the world today?

  4. Create a presentation using Google Slides, PowerPoint, or a handmade poster.

  5. Present your information to the class within a 3–5-minute time frame.
