Introduction

Hello there!
This web quest will guide you through various activities which will allow you to investigate the Jim Crow Laws and how people were affected by them in the past. You will notice that in your first activity, you will be asked to research while making connections. In your next activity, you will read a select few personal narratives from African Americans who lived in this era, and last you will listen to a personal narrative. It is essential that you hear this narrative to fully grasp the amount of pain that these individuals went through in their time period. After that, you will be asked to write a one page reflection on how these narratives made you feel and what connections you may have made with these people. Your goal is to get a feel for what the African American people went through in this era and the best way to do that will be through this guided activity.
