Florida has a special place called the Everglades. In this WebQuest, students will learn why the Everglades are important and what happens when people harm them.

Questions to Think About:

    •    What are the Everglades?

    •    Why are they important to Florida?

    •   Where it’s located?

Learning Goals:

Students will:

    •    Learn where the Everglades are

    •    Explain how people affect them

    •    Think of ways to help protect them

Students will work in small groups to make a short PowerPoint about the Everglades. The presentation will explain what the Everglades are, the animals that live there, and how to protect them.

    1.    Each group picks roles:

    •    Researcher

    •    Writer

    •    Designer

    •    Presenter

    2.    Use these websites:

    3.    Create a 6 to 8 slide PowerPoint with pictures and facts.

    4.    Practice and present to the class.
